In general, it can be said that the hotel industry in Australia is constantly growing due to the increase in the total numbers of visitors to the country. It has been found that the numbers of inland visitors have increased in Australia due to expansion of business and for higher studies. Thus, the increased numbers of tourists have helped the country to raise its revenue in the hotel industry. It is important to solve the particular issue of Mercure Sydney Hotel because the decrease in the arrival of rate of the guests has adversely affected the sales revenue as well as the profitability ratio of the firm.
